I’m looking to replace my laptop hard drive disc(HDD) completely and reinstall XP on it. This will undoubtedly remove the drivers. If I go to drivers.com, will it seek out the drivers on my computer and replace them?
I bought this computer third-hand and I do not have the restore disc for the laptop. All I got with it is the computer itself, a battery, and the power cord. When I replace the HDD, I will be updating the memory to 3gig(maybe 5), putting in a 360gig HDD and putting Windows XP Home edition on it.
Will I have to worry about more than drivers to make my touchpad, nub, infrared, CD burner, ports, and other assortment of accessories to work? What else should I expect in this endeavor? Should I have someone at Best Buy or a specialized computer place try this task? I am looking to return my computer to it’s original functionality after I give it this update.
The laptop I have is a Compaq, but I forget the model.
All help is appreciated. Please site your sources and references.
Thanks in advance,

Okay, Nero is not the only burner that does not detect my blank DVD+R disc. I am unable to burn with ImgBurn and InfraRed as well.
My recorder is a TSSTcorp CDRWDVD TS-H493B
This is really frustrating; I’ve been at this for more than 9 hours straight already.

Ok so recently we removed our gas pool heater, so all I have left is a really powerful LP outlet. We also recently bought a huge, gas guzzling grill. Like it has 3 massive steel tube burners, a side burner, and an infrared burner too. My question is this, can I connect my grill directly to the gas pipe so I won’t need to a cylinder? It’s maybe a 12 foot distance. If i can, what type of pipes/hoses should/can I use? Will having a direct inlet of gas make a big difference in grill performance over a cylinder?

I recently purchased a Tec By Charbroil grill with infrared burner. I have read online that the grill’s hardware was not made to handle the intense infrared heat. The fix is to replace the burner once it breaks (Difficult to do, will need to call handyman). Charbroil has agreed to send me the new burner free of charge but recommended that I wait to install it because some customers have the new assembly already installed and have no risk. Should I return the Grill (BIG pain to do) should I just replace the burners and not wait? or should i replace the burners today?
Thanks!
